All hurricane shutters that are Miami-Dade approved or high velocity hurricane zone (HVHZ) approved are going to protect your home. Some companies make false statements that their shutters are rated for 200+ miles per hour, But the reality is all state approved hurricane shutters are only legitimately tested to sustained winds of 150 mph for Zone C of Southeast Florida (about a mile from the coastline.) All of our products are Miami-Dade or HVHZ approved products. So the greatest difference is the design of the hurricane protection of your choice and the workmanship that the company provides.

Florida Hurricane shutters and Hurricane windows go through stringent testing to insure your safety. Each product we install, Accordion Shutters, Hurricane Panels, or Hurricane Windows, has labels listing the product approval number and manufacturer. Not only do all storm shutters need labels, but need to be back up with a NOA (notice of acceptance) if not some insurance company’s will not give you a discount or rise your rates or may not be up to code not protect your family and home when needed.

Hurricane Shutter Panels

Hurricane Panels starting at 6.95 per sq. ft. made of 0.50g lightweight aluminum. They are the most affordable hurricane protection with Miami –Dade approval on the market.
Keep in mind there are some insurance companies that will give you 10% more discount if the panels are stamped Miami –Dade approved.
Using a header on top and a studded angle on bottom, the panels can be installed in about 10 minutes per window.

We’ll have experienced employees go to your home to give you a free evaluation of your storm protection needs. We’ll bring along samples so you can see the latest design and technology features of the hurricane shutters or glass products that you are interested in, so you can see why we're cut above the competition. We’ll take the measurements of the windows and doors you need covered, and tell you about all of your available options and give you a verbal quote.

Within 24 hours, we’ll email you a breakdown of your personalized hurricane protection plan which includes all the information about your homes openings (square footage, size, and price, and the hurricane shutter or impact glass product you selected) and a window map so you can match window numbers to a drawing of your home. The email will also include a list of hundreds of our satisfied customers, some photos of the products you chose, and the Notice of Acceptance (NOA).

Upon agreement, we will send out our Structural Engineer to evaluate the structural integrity of your home around the openings we need to cover to make sure everything’s safe and sound. Precise measurements are taken to create a blueprint to be used in manufacturing your hurricane shutters and windows, as well as the submission of the necessary permits, then permit gets submitted. It usually takes about two weeks for approval depending on the city and time of year. But we guarantee installation within ten business days after permit approval.

The installation usually takes 1-2 days for hurricane shutters and 3-4 days for impact glass for the average home. All of our shutters and impact glass is labeled, caulked, and checked to make sure they are easy to use, and all sliding parts are lubricated on site.
